Cleveland County are a member of the English Women Bowling Federation (EWBF). The association was formed on January 11th 1986 with 9 founder members. Currently there are 12 affiliated clubs.

The aim of the association is to promote, foster and safeguard the game of bowls within Cleveland County. 

The affairs of the county are managed by an Executive committee (see Executive Committee page for list of members) along with a Delegates committee which has a representative from each affiliated club.
